AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) are organic acids that have been known as excellent moisturizers since the time of Cleopatra. Recently, however, it was discovered that higher concentrations of AHAs could achieve penetrating exfoliation, reducing wrinkles and giving skin a more youthful appearance.

BHAs (beta hydroxy acids) have been known for decades for their exfoliating properties.

TUTTI FRUTTI is an AHA and BHA home care maintenance program.

TUTTI FRUTTI preparations are a group of products with a number of common active ingredients:

• 4 AHAB, mainly glycolic acid and lactic acid, complemented by malic and tartaric acids
• 1 BHA, citric acid
• Active compensatory ingredients to prevent irritating effects of AHAs:

- Ceramides (except in the case of asphyxiated skin)

- NMF factor - Hyaluronic acid

- Vitamin E

- Peony extract (for oily skin), for its anti-irritating and antiseptic effects.

Ceramides play three essential roles within the material that bonds cells to one another: cohesion of superficial epidermal layers, control of transepidermal water loss, resistance to external stress

• NMF: Natural moisturizing factor composed of a dozen natural substances contained in the epidermis.
• Hyaluronic acid: A powerful moisturizer also present in the epidermis.
• Vitamin E: Anti-oxidant that protects against free radicals and improves the condition of the capillaries.
• Peony extract: An effective anti-irritating and antiseptic agent.

TUTTI FRUTTI PREPARATIONS ARE SAFE AND EFFECTIVE

TUTTI FRUTTI preparations offer the high performance of AHAs and BHA, yet are safe for the skin. Firstly, because the pH of the organic acids is partially neutralized to ensure nonirritating yet effective exfoliation. And secondly, because TUTTI FRUTTI preparations include a timed-release system that dispenses AHAs and BHA into the epidermis little by little over an extended period, instead of immediately releasing the entire dose upon contact with the skin. Fresh, active, energizing and effective emulsion-gels, TUTTI FRUTTI preparations are offered for home use in four AHA and BHA concentrations:

TUTTI FRUTTI AHA - Phase I - all skin types (4%): starter kit for all skin types or maintenance care for reactive skin.

TUTTI FRUTTI AHA for alipidic, mature or tired skin (8%): for treatment 3 to 4 times a year.

TUTTI FRUTTI AHA for normal and oily skin (12%): to regenerate, exfoliate and cleanse normal and oily skin. AHA treatment refines the epidermis, leaving it smoother, more supple, fresher and younger-looking. It softens the appear- acne of wrinkles and gives the complexion a radiant glow.
